Web wisdom from the heart.
My sincere desire is to work from the heart in all my endeavors. Not just in spiritual pursuits but in business and work. Financial health is an integral part of our growth and well being. But — and here’s the key — pursuing wealth only for the sake of wealth is eventually counterproductive. Why? Because it leaves our heart out of the equation.
Call me crazy, but I sincerely believe that we need heart connection and wholeness much more than we need cars and houses and huge bank accounts.
But is it one or the other, heart or wealth?
Absolutely not!
When we find heart connection and wholeness, we also discover our own unique gifts. And when we’ve refined and formed those gifts into a service that others need, it is a source of financial and heart health — both for you and for those you serve.
That’s the essence of web wisdom from the heart — not just to create a “money making web machine” — but to create and form your authentic heart presence on the web, so you can serve those you are here to serve and be nourished and supported by your work.
A bit about me – the quintessential accidental entrepreneur
How I came to this work is a story in itself, more an “accident” than an intentional goal. I’ve always been passionate about what I do and deeply committed to living an authentic, inspired life. Whether in the mountains of Central America working as a humanitarian worker, or shut up in isolation doing research on some historical or present injustice, I was always driven by some deep inner need to make sense of things, to make order. But to be in business? No, not me…
Or so I thought! But life has a way of helping us find the things we need to grow, to stretch, to rise above our self-imposed limitations, and life certainly helped move me from the non-profit/activist role into the self-employed web designer role. But it was a natural progression of sorts — as a writer and someone who loves to find the essence, the root of things — I love helping clients create a web site that truly reflects who they are and what they do. And my innate ability to spend hours in solitude facilitates the organic, creative design process, and allows me the heart space to connect with my clients and help them capture the real heart of their work.
I’m a lifelong student and love to learn. I studied Economics and International Relations in college, and POLS/Public Administration in graduate school. I love yoga, alternative healing, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Family Constellation work. I plan to continue my Yoga Teacher Training and to go to Nepal one day!
